Christmas Poem 2021

Jesus: God's Perfect Solution

Ravaged with evil and stained with sin,

Such is the world we today live in,

Where brother fights brother to no avail,

Where peace is lacking and relationships fail,

A world with great problems we live in today,

Where love was usurped and hatred takes reign,

Where good is called evil and wrong is named right,

Where all are diseased with a spiritual plight,

Yet men, in their limits, have come and have gone,

To offer solutions they think will prolong,

These answers they give with their pride oh so great,

Believing they'll fix all mankind's great mistakes,

From religion to science and philosophy too,

Telling the people what they think they should do,

To fix their mistakes and pay for their crimes,

To improve society and elevate mankind,

These solutions, though shiny and highly praised,

Cannot fix humanity and produce true change,

For while mankind's problems seem soulish and vast,

They all have a source in man's spirit and past,

For mankind's not the product of some random, pointless chance,

But the workmanship of a Creator who existed in advance,

Who made all things with purpose, from the sky to the sea,

And from dust He made man, the first of humanity,

While man was a creature, his make was unique,

For with soul and body, a spirit he did keep,

That spirit gave humanity a blessing so pure,

For a connection to God did it solely ensure,

This spirit is pivotal to humanity's current plight,

For its death in mankind brought great evil and strife,

For God in His fairness gave Adam and Eve,

The choice to keep serving Him or His love leave,

But man chose the latter and turned against God,

For he traded His love for a wisdom so flawed,

Rebellion then entered Creation once pure,

And in man sin took root and his spirit, no more,

By choosing rebellion and with God, cutting ties,

Men's hearts became wicked, and their minds were unwise,

With spirits now dead and sin natures so foul,

The world became dark and with sin groaned and growled,

The sin of all men made a sin debt so great,

God's justice demanded a terrible fate,

Since sin could not dwell in God's holy abode,

Men's souls were all doomed to eternity alone,

But God in His grace and His love for mankind,

Desired for them a salvation sublime,

To save their dead spirits and give them new lives,

To give them true change through renewing their minds,

This salvation He planned would save those who believed,

New life eternal in heaven they'd receive,

Their sins would be paid for and mankind could again,

Commune with the Lord; their relationship, amend,

This plan of salvation was planned from the start,

For God knew the folly of mankind's prideful heart,

So He and His Son in the Godhead of three,

Decided that Jesus would save humanity,

He came to the earth in the fullness of time,

Born to a young virgin in glory divine,

Conceived of the Spirit and was fully God,

Yet incarnate as man with a physical bod,

Though fully God, servanthood He chose,

Born not in royalty but in humble clothes,

Living His life not for selfish, petty gain,

But gave all for us so we would never be the same,

God's love and His justice were in those days fulfilled,

For Jesus' life and His blood were then spilled,

For the wages of sin could only be paid,

Through Christ's perfect sacrifice that He then made,

The atoning death of Jesus Christ covered the sins of all,

Bearing the righteous wrath of God; the devil He did appall,

Salvation was the gift He won for humanity's greatest need:

To be saved from sin, reborn in Him, and from evil's grasp be freed,

Thus is the perfect solution from God,

Addressing humanity's needs,

From spirits long dead to sin debts unmet,

And evil corrupting men's deeds,

The solution to all mankind's great problems,

Cannot be found in man,

For religion is bluffing and science is nothing,

When compared to God's perfect plan,

The salvation of Christ is available to all,

To all children and woman and men,

While all sins He has paid, the choice must be made,

To be saved and praise Him with, “Amen!”

The time for rejoicing, renewing has come,

For all who call out to His name!

The more who are saved and His answer claim,

The more who'll receive His true change.
